Senior Planning Engineer – London - £50k plus package
Senior Planning Engineer is required for an opportunity based in London – This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Planning Engineer to join a multi-disciplined construction and & engineering contractor who works across the UK and abroad.
The Senior Planning Engineer will provide the Project Team with programming and planning support on a significant utilities project in London, enabling the effective management of the NEC3 form of contract by using Primavera software. The senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for supporting the Site Team in all delivery requirements, Planning, Resource Management, Producing Progress and KPI reports.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Provide planning and resource management support to the Project Team
· Produce cost and resource loaded programmes, identifying critical paths, including Design & Construction Programmes.
· Identify major project restraints and liaise with the Operations team.
· Produce and monitor KPI’s, internal and to the Clients.
· Provide up to date information to Project Team on the status of works utilising Project Management Software.
· Produce progress reports.
· Update, maintain and monitor Project Management Tools.
· Verification of progress and maintenance of Master Programmes, including regular updates.
· Produce, monitor and maintain Cash Flow information as required.
· Produce, monitor and maintain forecast resource requirements.
· Contribute to the reporting cycle to the Client.
· Liaise with Designers to maintain a Design Delivery Programme.
Person Specification
Candidates for this role should meet the following criteria:
· Substantial experience within the Construction and Civil Engineering environment.
· Logical minded.
· Conversant with Construction Logic.
· Full Driving License.
· Ability to work on own initiative.
· Good communicator at all levels.
· Proficient in the use of Computer Planning Systems including Primavera Version 5 or similar.
· Understanding of planning procedures.
